Importers: Register for the Food Act now

By now, any businesses who import food should have applied to register for the new Food Act or identified a registered food importer to do it for them. If you haven’t yet applied, please register before 30 June – this is the last deadline for registering, before you’ll be followed up. If you have any questions please email: approvals@mpi.govt.nz or phone 0800 008 333 (ask for approvals) or 04 894 2550.

To make it easy for you MPI has a web page, which lets you check if you need to register and how to go about it. It has links to all the information you need to follow the rules.
